our Story
The Anchor Point
Founded by U.S. military combat veterans, first responders, and mental health professionals, The Anchor Point was created from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those who serve. Recognizing critical gaps in traditional healthcare systems, we built a new model focused on integrated care, peer connection, and long-term healing.
We believe that healing starts with community, understanding, and the unwavering belief that no one should walk their journey alone.

our Mission
At The Anchor Point, our mission is to redefine mental healthcare for military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. We provide culturally competent, trauma-informed support to those who dedicate their lives to the service and safety of others.
who we serve
We proudly serve active-duty military, veterans, and first responders — including fire, police, EMS, dispatch, emergency management, and ER staff — as well as their families. Our programs address the invisible wounds of service, offering a pathway to recovery, resilience, and renewed purpose.

Meet The Team

Michael Jenkins-LCSW
TAP CO - FOUNDER
The principles of duty and selfless service hold profound meaning for me. My commitment to helping this community is what inspired me to pursue a career in Mental Health after my military service. It is a privilege to support these individuals as they navigate the challenges and triumphs that accompany the lifestyle they have chosen.

Jessica McClellan-LCSW
TAP CO - FOUNDER
I chose to work with first responders and their mental health because they face unique challenges that can have a significant impact on their wellbeing. As a clinician for TAP, I am dedicated to helping them navigate these stressors, offering the support and resources needed to foster healing and resilience.

Josh Jessup
TAP CO - FOUNDER
My main mission is to ensure that those who help others also receive support. I aim to be a positive influence in normalizing and validating emotions. I want to offer tools and examples for our peers to share and reflect on their reactions to challenging situations in both personal and professional settings. Ultimately, it is to me that our peers and their families enjoy a fuller, healthier and more joyful life experience.
